"I am learning all the time. The tombstone will be my diploma."
- Eartha Kitt
Learning and unlearning is foundational to growth. Obstacles are opportunities, and sustained effort leads to growth. Turning knowledge into wisdom is what will create lasting change as well as understanding that wisdom must be grounded in humility and self-awareness. All of this serves to create a lifelong journey of learning. When we commit to it being a lifelong journey, we recognize that we are always students seeking to evolve into better versions of ourselves for the greater good and that work never stops.
"Integrity is doing the right thing when you don’t have to—when no one else is looking or will ever know—when there will be no congratulations or recognition for having done so."
- Charles Marshall
The practice of being honest, ethical, grounded in principles, and operating out of authenticity is central to meaningful progress and relationships. Integrity builds trust and creates the container for deeper human connections and partnerships.
Fairness means ensuring that everyone has a real opportunity to participate fully in a group, organization, or society. This requires recognizing that people start from different positions due to varying access to resources. By approaching initiatives with fairness, we create pathways for meaningful inclusion and ensure that no one is left behind.
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
- African Proverb
We are interconnected and interdependent beings—our survival and ability to thrive depend on one another and the Earth. When we recognize our shared humanity and see ourselves in each other, we understand that harming another is, in essence, harming ourselves. Rooted in the South African principle of Ubuntu, this awareness can transform our relationships and guide us toward a more just and compassionate world.
"Justice is what love looks like in public."
– Cornel West
Love is one of the most powerful forces for transformation. When we fully embrace and love ourselves, we create the capacity to extend that love outward—into our relationships, leadership, and communities. At the core of liberation is a love that overflows beyond the self, fueling deep compassion, collective care, and shared power.
This love-driven justice fosters not only equity but also grace—a radical practice of forgiveness, accountability, and healing. True justice is not only about dismantling harm but about restoring wholeness, recognizing our shared humanity, and creating a world where everyone belongs.
"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk to blossom."
– Anaïs Nin
Transformation is the process of choosing growth over fear, liberation over limitation. We are all capable of alchemizing pain, sadness, trauma, inequities, and injustice into love, wisdom, and action. True transformation requires courage, self-awareness, and trust in the unfolding journey—both personally and collectively.
When we commit to transformation, we embrace discomfort as a portal to change and recognize that healing ourselves is also healing the world. Through this process, we move toward greater authenticity, justice, and collective liberation.
CODE OF ETHICS
I aim to honor and live by my values for myself and for those I partner with.
I work with individuals and organizations that are energetically a good fit.
I commit to ongoing learning to maintain the highest quality of services and support.
I do my personal work so I can show up as my best self. My goal is to not project my issues, biases or assumptions onto others.
I commit to honesty and clear communication so there is shared understanding about how we work together.
I seek to honor an individual's self-determination and sovereignty in any process we pursue together, that includes honoring their yeses and nos while also encouraging them to push past their growing edges.
I am
not a certified therapist, psychologist or social worker. Individuals who work with me in a coaching or healing capacity are encouraged to have a therapist. If someone does not, and we learn through the discovery process or as our time progresses that they may need a therapist, I may suggest they pursue therapy before continuing to work with me.
I believe individuals are the experts of their lives and trust that they are their own wisdom keepers and healers. I am merely a guide supporting them on their journey.
I maintain confidentiality. I believe that it is an honor to bear witness to someone’s truth and stories. I honor that those truths and stories were shared with me and not others.
